We are all being poisoned, Glyphosate

We are being heavily poisoned everyday and I am here to educate you on why and how to do your best to stay away from it. The culprit? Glyphosate.

Glyphosate, a commonly used pesticide, is almost everywhere in our food chain. From our water source (what water do you drink?) to our air, from the soil to our food, we are being poisoned by this toxin. If pesticides are designed to kill the ‘bad stuff’ on crops, imagine what they’re doing once they enter our body. New research shows that it KILLS human cells.

What is Glyphosate?

“A synthetic compound that is a nonselective systemic herbicide, particularly effective against perennial weeds.” Have you ever heard of Roundup from Monsanto (now owned by another EVIL company Bayer) or DDT?? Well, yes, those harmful chemicals used by Monsanto (or derivatives of those) are the most widely sold and used pesticides around the globe. And those end up in our bodies. , So messed up, right?

There are similar charts for many of the diseases we are facing today.

There are similar charts for many of the diseases we are facing today.

A major new review of 44 scientific studies found that glysphosate exposure doubles farmers’ risk of developing non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. The study authors theorize that Roundup disrupts the normal functioning of white blood cells, throwing your immune system into a sickened, dysfunctional state.

Gluten or Glyphosate Intolerance?

How many people do you know that now have a “gluten allergy”, but never did before? Well, it might have nothing to do with gluten at all. Glyphosate is heavily used on wheat and grains during cultivation, and then doused on the crop before harvest, hence all the perceived gluten/ and/or allergies. This process is called ‘desiccation’ which in turn increases overall yields. I strongly believe that all of these new auto immune disease are directly linked to GLYPHOSATE, not GLUTEN. It’s not the grain or wheat that’s causing these allergic reactions, but what’s actually on the grain or wheat, hence the misconception.

To prove my theory, I did a self test a few years ago. When I consumed gluten or wheat in the US I became sick, inflamed etc., which I believe was due to the use of glyphosate on the crops. During that same time period, I went to visit my sister in Italy, and ate whatever I wanted, grains, wheats, gluten galore--you name it--and experienced none of the same allergy symptoms. Weird, right? Well, the reason, I believe is because the EU has very strict laws on the use of pesticides and GMOs in their food and agriculture, so the food that ends up on your plate is a  completely different organism than what you would find in the US.

So, Where Is It Coming From?

All of the processed foods undoubtedly expose us to this toxic contamination, courtesy of the GMO soy and vegetable oil, GMO high fructose corn syrup, and processed grains; it also exposes the animals who eat those processed grains, hence why I tell my clients to eat grass fed only. But, it doesn’t end there.s also found in organic foods (because it's in the air and water too), tampons, vaccines (don’t get me started), breast milk, urine, and even in environments such as households, parks, schools, gardens, roadways, etc. Our livers are being taxed and our bodies can’t keep up!

After more than 30 years of a “don’t look, don’t see” policy on glyphosate’s secondary side effects, many studies in recent years are suggesting that glyphosate has worrying health effects at levels regularly detected in food and tap water.

The most popular GMO crops planted on millions of U.S. acres each year are designed to withstand heavy dousing of glyphosate, in short killing the bugs, but not the plant. The chemical companies make a killing (no pun intended) by selling the GMO seed, as well as the chemical itself, to the farmers.

How Does It Hurt Us?

Glyphosate is hurting us and our soil. If we are eating foods grown in soil that’s been treated with any type of pesticides (yes, even organic pesticides effect this) the soil has no nutrients; this means the foods we are eating are much less nutrient dense. Studies confirm that our fruits and vegetables today have considerably less nutrients than they did 50 years ago, sad, right? So, all that kale you've been eating for its nutritional value? Well, it might just not have all the vitamins it claims.

Not only is it disrupting the nutrients of our crops, but it’s hurting our bodies in major ways. Glyphosate, which is now regularly detected in human urine, is responsible for some of these terrible side effects:

  1. Hormone Disruption - Glyphosate is an endocrine disrupting chemical that dramatically affects our sex hormones, which means that it throws off your body’s delicate internal balance of hormones in ways that promote disease.

  2. Food Allergies & Digestive Disorders - It kills the good bacteria in the gut, which messes with our absorption and causes immune issues.

  3. Memory Loss - Alzheimer's disease is being linked to the way glyphosate and aluminum work together and negatively impact the gut and brain.

  4. Diabetes - There are studies that show that one of the fungicide used on crops creates insulin resistance in fat cells.

  5. Cancer - More than 260 studies link pesticides to various cancers, including lymphoma, leukemia, soft tissue sarcoma, and brain, breast, prostate, bone, bladder, thyroid, colon, liver, and lung cancers, among others.

  6. Autism and Neurological disorders such as ADHD - Some of the insecticides effectively kill bugs by throwing off normal neurological functioning. Well, now that same thing seems to be happening in some children. They both are associated with low melatonin, impaired sulfur metabolism, low vitamin D, sleep issues, and gut dysbiosis.

  7. Obesity - More than 50 pesticides are disrupting hormones related to weight balance.

  8. Parkinson’s Disease - Evidence shows a clear association between pesticide exposure and a higher risk for the second most common neurodegenerative disease, after Alzheimer's.

  9. Infertility - Prevalent in both males and females due to hormone disruption.

  10. Birth Defects - Spina bifida, cleft lip, clubfoot, and Down Syndrome rates are higher when moms become pregnant during high season for pesticides.

And the list goes on.

For those of you thinking, “I don’t eat organic and I am perfectly fine,”  think again. Glyphosate manifests in each of us differently; in some the effects are apparent from birth, and in others it might take decades to manifest. Even scarier is the possibility that you might even pass it on to your children. Sure, you don’t eat organic because it might be a little more expensive or you don’t see the point right now or you feel totally healthy, but in 10 years will it be worth it? Is your health worth it? No.

What Can You Do?

My immediate and simplest advice is to start cooking from scratch.  It’s an easy solution that everyone can tackle if you’re willing to put in the time. A few tips for cooking, grocery shopping, and general healthy maintenance of your body include:

  1. Only buy labels that say 100% Organic. If it says “organic” it can still have up to 5% non-organic glyphosate filled ingredients.

  2. Read the label! Know exactly what’s in your food.

  3. Stay away from processed foods, especially corn, soy, and sugar ingredients.

  4. Grow your own food if possible (especially if you can’t afford organic), or buy local and know the farmer.

  5. Avoid the primary GMO foods including all soy, corn, canola.

  6. Always buy NON GMO / organic grains. Remember, they spray glyphosate on the grains BEFORE harvesting so they are nice and saturated!!

  7. Increase your probiotic intake.

  8. Detox at home with activated charcoal, bentonite clay, chlorophyll, infrared saunas, and exercise.

By now, you understand how strongly I believe that toxins are responsible for creating an acidic and inflammatory environment within our bodies, which in turn causes disease. Do your best to stay away from toxins and keep your alkaline in order so that your body is able to detox and stay healthy!

Unfortunately, we live in a world where the organizations that should be looking out for us aren’t doing their jobs and where Toxic Reports published suddenly disappear the next day, which means that we must take it upon ourselves to do our homework and know what is actually good or bad for us. We must take proactive measures and educate ourselves. Do it for the sake of your family and the next generation. You can do it and I am here to help.
