A Beginner's Guide To Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent Fasting (IF) is basically the practice of occasionally going for extended periods without eating. Most people only experience this when sleeping, from after dinnertime to “break-fast” aka breaking that sleeping fast! Basically, if you typically eat dinner by 8 PM and breakfast at 8 AM the next day, you're fasting for 12 hours and feeding for 12 hours. Do you get me?

In this Vida Nourish recipe session I will teach you how to make a super charged version of a mate latte. Get ready to come to life!

WHAT YOU NEED

  • XCT oil or even better Brain Octane

  • Grass-Fed Collagen Protein

  • Grass fed butter or Ghee *Ghee is for ppl who are sensitive to dairy, see more on Ghee here*

  • Guayaki Yerba Mate
  • Green powder my fav is Beauty Greens, but there are tons out there

  • Blender

  • Stevia (optional)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Pour your french press brewed mate into a blender

  2. Add 2 tbsp grass fed butter or ghee

  3. Add 2 tsp XCT oil/ Braine Octane

  4. Add 1 scoop Grass-fed Collagen

  5. 1 tsp green powder of choice

  6. 4-6 drops stevia (optional)

  7. Blend for 15 seconds for frothy, mate latte goodness!

Herbed Dressing with Avocado Oil

Ingredients:

·      ¾ cup avocado oil

·      ½ cup parsley

·      ½ cup cilantro

·      ¼ cup mint

·      2-3 cloves garlic (I like to roast it in the oven whole)

·      1 small roasted jalapeno (optional)

·      3 T pumpkin seeds

·      ½ cup lemon/ red wine vinegar

·      1 t sea salt, more to taste

 

Blend all ingredients except AVOCADO OIL. Add oil slowly to emulsify. Blend to desired consistency.
